Cloudera Unveils Next Phase of Open Data Lakehouse on Private Cloud

Cloudera, a leading enterprise AI-based data company, has revealed the latest evolution of its open data lakehouse tailored for private cloud environments. This advancement aims to foster on-premise data experiences, fostering trusted analytics and AI capabilities at scale. With a focus on innovation, Cloudera has positioned itself as the premier provider of an open data lakehouse solution, incorporating Apache Iceberg technology for both public and private cloud infrastructures.In an official announcement, Cloudera emphasized the significance of Apache Iceberg's integration into private clouds, citing its pivotal role in addressing organizational challenges and facilitating the expansion of enterprise AI deployments. 

Cloudera's initiative includes the provision of air-gapped large language model (LLM) deployments, promising enhanced security, data privacy, performance optimization, and operational cost reductions for customers. Cloudera's commitment to enhancing its platform extends beyond Apache Iceberg integration. The company is rolling out a suite of updates aimed at delivering tangible business value to its clientele. These updates encompass features such as zero downtime upgrades (ZDU), bolstered security measures including Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2, and the introduction of new Apache Ozone capabilities like quotas, snapshots, and disaster recovery enhancements.

Furthermore, Cloudera's platform enhancements include support for various integrations, including Python 3.10, RHEL 9.1, RHEL 8.8 FIPS, SLES 15 SP4, Oracle 8.8, and JDK 17, ensuring compatibility and flexibility for modern workloads.Dipto Chakravarty, Chief Product Officer at Cloudera, articulated the company's mission to empower customers in transforming data into actionable insights through AI enablement.
