Addressing another common issue plaguing AI platforms — inaccuracies and hallucinations — Jain emphasizes Glean's efforts to enhance reliability. Leveraging customer data to train its models and implementing techniques like Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Glean aims to provide accurate and personalized responses to user queries. Additionally, every answer generated by Glean is meticulously referenced back to the original source, enhancing transparency and credibility.
Despite facing competition from established players like Microsoft and OpenAI, as well as enterprise search providers, Glean has witnessed significant growth. Its expanding customer base, including prominent names like Duolingo and Sony, underscores the platform's appeal and efficacy. This momentum was further reinforced by Glean's recent Series D funding round, which raised $200 million and attracted support from prominent investors such as Kleiner Perkins and Lightspeed Venture Partners.Mamoon Hamid of Kleiner Perkins expressed confidence in Glean's potential to revolutionize knowledge work in enterprises, citing the team's track record and the substantial market opportunity.
