Ubuntoo and WFTO Launch Groundbreaking AI Sustainability Hub for Fair Trade Businesses

Ubuntoo AI and the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) have joined forces to introduce the WFTO Environmental Solutions Hub. Unveiled during the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-6) in Nairobi, Kenya, this innovative digital platform harnesses artificial intelligence (AI) to bolster sustainability efforts among fair trade businesses, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and WFTO members. The Environmental Solutions Hub aims to provide comprehensive and tailored sustainable solutions, addressing the environmental impact of its users. By leveraging Ubuntoo's AI capabilities, the platform facilitates networking, targeted collaborations, and collective positive impact for green SMEs globally. This collaboration highlights the transformative potential of AI in advancing business sustainability.

Ubuntoo, with its extensive database and collective intelligence, accelerates the sustainability transformation for numerous fair trade enterprises. The platform enables WFTO members to seamlessly connect with organizations worldwide based on specific solutions or geographical locations, fostering meaningful partnerships and knowledge sharing within the community. Established in 1989, WFTO stands as the global community and verifier of enterprises committed to practicing the 10 Fair Trade Principles. Comprising SMEs, they collectively advocate for a more equitable and sustainable world. The new platform is also open to members of SEED and the Green Economy Coalition, aligning with their objectives of sustainable development and SME strengthening. Leida Rijnhout, CEO of WFTO, emphasizes the significance of the Member Hub: "The platform goes beyond networking and provides concrete answers to practical questions, streamlining the development of sustainable business models globally."

Ubuntoo's AI engine, known as the 'Green ChatGPT,' combines large language models and a curated database to provide relevant information for reducing environmental impact. Introduced in 2023, the platform offers real-time solutions to assist companies in implementing their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies at a lower cost compared to traditional consultancy services. Peter Schelstraete, Co-Founder of Ubuntoo, states, “As global environmental legislation tightens, and consumers grow more environmentally conscious, businesses are full of ambition to be part of the solution. With Ubuntoo AI, we are leveraging AI and human expertise to provide better access to environmental solutions.” Through this partnership, Ubuntoo reaffirms its commitment to integrating fair trade principles into its operations, contributing to systemic change and fostering a sustainable future.
